Nicole Bartos - "Capturing Threads of Light - with fine art and music"

A show of abstract paintings, new and old, and live acoustic music.

PRIVATE VIEWING: Saturday, 10th December 2011, 3-6pm

Live music from 'Graculus': 3pm- 4.30pm

Free entry. Donations welcome.
All proceeds from donations to support British Red Cross.

This show brings to the audience a very enjoyable experience. It will charge you with vibrant colour, musical vibrations and meditative state of mind. An exhibition of new and old abstract paintings, part of the already familiar work cycle: “Capturing Threads of Light”.
Event accompanied by live experimental and improvised acoustic music from ‘Graculus’ duet (improvised, experimental, funny and avant-garde): Phil Hargreaves (flute, soprano sax and cello) and Richard Harding (guitar).

Exhibition on show until 17th of December 2011 and may be viewed on Thursdays and Saturdays or by appointment, at the venue mentioned above.
This is a small venue (front of The Old Police Station) and we advice the audience it is not suitable for wheel chairs. Sorry.

Music and art emerges from a variety of artistic styles and ethnic backgrounds.
Starring musicians, singers and artists:
Tayo Aluko (baritone), Stan Ambrose (celtic harp), Bisacha Sarker (Indian storytelling/choreography), Jo Bywater (guitar, voice), Paul McDowell (guitar, voice, mandolin), Oritsema Ejuoneatse (soprano),
Graculus (Phil Hargreaves (flute, soprano sax), Richard Harding (guitar)), Ade Jackson (guitar, voice), Martin Robinson (piano/ keyboard), Skirmish (harmonica, guitar) & Nicole Bartos (art).

All funds from this concert and 50% from all art sales go to charity.
